We just got back from sailing (mostly motoring actually) in Alaska with John Joeright who runs Top Of The World Sailing Charters. If you wanted to see Alaska's Iniside Passage this would be a good way to do it. We had a chance to see and do things that just wouldn't be possible on a large cruise ship.

Standing on a bergie in Endicott Arm. Now don't try this at home kids.
The first week we went down the inside passage to Tracy and Endicott Arms. The area where we went is outlined in red on the map below.
We took a two day break to go see Glacier Bay with another tour company, because John has not been able to get a permit to go into it during the high season. We originally were going to visit there at the end of our trip, but John had hurt his back and needed a chance to go visit his doctor. This also allowed us a break from being on a small boat for the whole two weeks. This area is outlined in blue on the map
The second week we went to Hoonah, Icy Straits, and Elfin Cove. This is the area that is outlined in orange.
On the rest of these pictures and maps, when you see a camera ,
that means that there is a picture that was taken near that
spot. Multiple cameras
mean that there are a
number of pictures form that location. The panoramas from various locations were
constructed with the PanaVue Image Assembler
program. To view these you will need the Quicktime VR plugin available from Apple. I suggest that you get it now. It may
take a while, but it's worth it. You'll also need the Real Player from Real Media. The images on this site were mostly taken
with a Sony TRV-310 digital video camera.
